Stage 3 of this project is 'Pre Viz' - I wanted to carry out a little bit more of an in depth pre-viz stage for this project. It's easy to rush this stage, get over excited and crack on with what you think the final scene should be. But spending a little longer in the pre visualization of the scene should enable you to make decisions about the final look and feel of the scene allot quicker, it will also help you work out what definitely won't work which is a big help in preventing time wasting further along the process.

SS1: SIPSMITH ADVERTISING IMAGERY - STAGE 1: PROJECT PLAN
As I mentioned in my previous post I’m currently taking some time out to undertake some training and personal development. My last post was focussed around the subject of process, it’s importance and also how things can go wrong when your process is lacking.
I’ve now decided on a new project and I hope undertaking it will help me in my goal of developing a better working process and ultimately a better end product. I wanted to keep the next project roughly similar to the last to help me focus more on the process refinement with that in mind I’m planning to produce a set of advertising images for Sipsmiths Lemon Drizzle Gin. I will give more background on this project in my next post but for now I want to focus on defining a process and the first stage of that process.
I wont bore you with every stage of the process (there are 17) but if you are interested I have created a trello board which shows a rough outline of each stage, you can view the board HERE
FAILING TO PREPARE...
I'm currently going through the process of refocusing my work with a view to getting more heavily involved in high end 3D visualisation. This will mean taking a bit of time out from my normal Design & 3D Visualisation work in Retail and Events. 3D has been my passion since I was first introduced to it at University in Bournemouth and has always formed a large part of my working day. Hopefully this new direction will lead to an improvement in the quality of my work and also increase the satisfaction I get from it.
